Ford v10 Super 6.8 liter Diesel Engine Essential Bolt Tightening Torques

Main Bearing Bolts (Vertical) 
Step 1 = 40 Nm, 30 lb.ft
Step 2 = + 90°

Main Bearing Bolts (Side Bolts) 
Step 1 = 30 Nm, 22 lb.ft
Step 2 = + 90°


v10 Connecting Rod Bolts
Step 1 = 43 Nm, 32 lb.ft
Step 2 = + 105°

v10 engine Cylinder head Bolts
NOTE: The cylinder head bolts must be discarded
 and new bolts must be installed. They are a
tighten-to-yield design and cannot be reused.

Step 1 = 40 Nm, 30 lb.ft
Step 2 = + 90°
Step 3 = + 90°
